We believe that there is only ONE TRUE GOD, the Father, Creator of heaven and earth. (Isaiah 44: 6-8) “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God…. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.” God is spirit, eternally existing and the source of all knowledge, power, love, authority, justice, mercy and grace.
We believe that the One True God manifest Himself through flesh. (1 Timothy 3: 16) “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” Through a sign, a virgin will shall conceive, and bear a son, and His name shall be called Immanuel – ‘God with us.’ (Isaiah 7: 14) “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ” (Isaiah 9: 6) We strongly deny the existence of the Trinity (there is no such teaching in the Bible). We believe that the Father and Jesus Christ are ONE. (John 10: 30)
With regards to the Holy Spirit, we believe that it is the “power that proceeds from God.” (Isaiah 11:2; Luke 1:35; Acts 1:8; 10:38; 2 Corinthians 1:22; 2 Timothy 1:7) It is through this Spirit that God is present everywhere at once (Psalm 139:7-10). The Holy Spirit of God is not identified as a third person in a trinity but is presented in Scripture as the power of God and the life force of God through which the Father begets human beings as His spiritual children. The Holy Spirit is given to individuals when they genuinely repent and are baptized (Acts 2:38).
