The life we have here on earth is complicated. This is according to many people.
Because they make it complicated.
People have chosen to follow their ways and not the ways of the One who gave them their lives. This created a problem in our lives. In everything we do, there is always an equal or opposite reaction. For example, when we eat too much, we gain weight. When we eat less, we gain less nutrients for our body.
If we smoke and drink alcohol a lot, slowly we are punishing our bodies. Whatever we do, there is always a consequence. If we put too much effort on something, we gain mastery of it. If we love much, we gain love too. If we sow hatred, then we reap hatred also.
See, its really simple. This is what we call the law of the universe. And this is Biblical. It is written in the Bible. Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. If we did negative actions, most probably, negative reactions follows.
This is the reason why we need to base our lives and services to God according to the Bible.
People just serve God because they feel its good. Yes, serving God is good. But in serving God, there must be a Biblical basis. So does on how we live our lives. We don’t just live it according to how we like it.
Yes we can live it like we want it. We have been given the freedom to live our lives the way we want it. But think again, not all we thought good is actually good in the eyes of God. 1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Biblically, Paul advised the people of Corinth to be careful in what they drink, eat and do. 1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. We ask first if what we do, eat or drink is according to the will of God. This is living our lives according to the Bible. Its simple, not complicated. All we have to do is ask the Bible and find out about God’s laws and commandments.
We say, know the commandments. What commandments? The commandments of God differ from time to time. For example, the laws for Adam and the first people are only for them. The laws for Noah are only for them. The laws for the people of Israel is only for them to follow. The laws for the Christian people are what we must follow. It is for us. We are not ancient Israel, like we read in the Old Testament. This means the Ten Commandments given to Moises are not for us. It is designed specifically for the people of God, the Israel.
We are Gentile people. Like Apostle Paul said, we have been given the chance to serve God.
Live and serve God according to His ways. Based it on the Bible and we will surely find it simple.
