Last time, a friend told us his problems and how his faith lifted him out of misery.
He said, “I am totally confused. I can’t leave my sins. I’m having a hard time changing my ways and this lead to many other things that make things even more complicated.”
Indeed, each of us has its own problem or problems to deal with. We can not escape the fact that while we are here on earth, problems, trials and sufferings are unavoidable. God did not want us to fail. Through His words, the Bible, we can be triumphant and do everything with His help and resources to overcome everything and emerge victorious.
In every situation, we must have full control of everything. Otherwise, once the problem comes, we can get rattled and other problems may occur. Knowing the problem is needed to be able to solve it. If we know the problem, we can analyze it and find solutions.
But as Christians do, once we encounter problems, we entrust everything to the Lord first and seek guidance for His help to solve the problem at hand. We believe that in everything that happens to us, God has total control of it. If we can’t bear them, He can easily lend His hand for help. All we need is to ask for His help.
All we need is to trust the Lord with all our heart and soul.
Psa 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Psa 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Psa 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psa 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
If tests and trials come, for sure, God has a hand on it. He will never give us something that we can not handle. Trust Him. This is the first thing that must enter our hearts and minds. Trust that the Lord will help us and will make a way for us.
Problems are like puzzles. Some puzzles are easy to solve, some are not. Some puzzles can make us crazy, this means it can really make our lives difficult. In solving the puzzles, we find the pieces that fits to a certain piece.
Life is like that.
We always find what’s missing. And sometimes, even there is no need for something, we still find it.
In dealing with problems, trials and sufferings, we find ways to overcome them.
If we have faith in God, we can entrust everything to Him, but that doesn’t mean that God will do everything for us. Sufferings are there to teach us something. If God will do everything for us, then we don’t learn anything.
God wants us to learn from every trials that come our ways.
Every suffering means a lesson to be learned. Every successful lesson learned is also a good thing we earned in terms of our faith and trust in the Lord.
Now, don’t tell that we have a big problem that we can not handle. Everything seems so big if we lack in faith. But when we have that complete trust and faith in the Lord, we can see that everything is so small and none is so hard.
Our friend told us that it is his faith and trust in the Lord that made his problems disappear.
He had a lot of shame and worries until he had totally seen that everything happens for a reason. In his part, he learned that not all the time we are strong to overcome temptations. He lost his ways. He had done things that he did not even imagine in his life. Although he has faith and serve the Lord God, but his weaknesses prevailed.
Through prayers and meditations, he soon realized that he should not loose hope and trust the Lord in everything. God provided him an escape for all his worries and shames. God will always make a way for us. Just trust and believe.
Now, with his strength and faith regained, he can easily handle anything that comes in his life, because He knows that God will make a way for him, not only for him but to all who put trust in the name of the Lord.
