Excel in the Work We do for the Lord

1Co 15:58 So, then, brothers and sisters, don’t let anyone move you off the foundation of your faith. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.

We have the tendency to feel bored and uninterested in doing something.

Sometimes, even in serving the Lord, the feeling of tiredness comes to us. This happens when someone feels that the burden he’s having is too much to bear. Because of that burden, he feels tired and had this feeling of boringness.

This is the reason why Apostle Peter advised the early Christians, to hold on of the promise that they have. He emphasized that they have already escaped the corruption and the sinful desires and that they will only waste their faith if they will be lost again.

2Pe 1:4 Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.

2Pe 1:5 Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge;

2Pe 1:6 to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness;

2Pe 1:7 to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love.

2Pe 1:8 If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus Christ is living and productive.

2Pe 1:9 If these qualities aren’t present in your life, you’re shortsighted and have forgotten that you were cleansed from your past sins.

2Pe 1:10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, use more effort to make God’s calling and choosing of you secure. If you keep doing this, you will never fall away.

Therefore, we must show that we are taking every effort and everything in the name of the Lord seriously. It shows how deeply we have learned about God and how productive we are because of that knowledge.

We have no choice but to go up.

We must excel in everything we do for the Lord.

We have no reason not to do so because everything was given to us. 1Co 1:4 I always thank God for you because Christ Jesus has shown you God’s good will. 1Co 1:5 Through Christ Jesus you have become rich in every way-in speech and knowledge of every kind.

This is the reason why we are called. This is the reason why we serve the Lord. So, each of us must never get tired of doing the right thing. Gal 6:9 We can’t allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way. Certainly, each of us will receive everlasting life at the proper time, if we don’t give up.
