Everyday is a new Beginning

Every morning when we wake up, the immediate thoughts of a true Christian are prayers and thanksgiving. It is a time to communicate with the Father in heaven and thank Him for a new morning and  for a new life He had given us. Psalms 77:11 says, I will remember your great deeds, Lord; I will recall the wonders you did in the past.

As Christians, we are thankful not only on what we have already received from Him, but we are thankful for the blessings that are yet to come in our lives. Its like thanking God in advance.

Each morning can be a new start for everyone. Whatever we did yesterday is a thing of the past and what’s matter now is what we plan to do for the whole day. Especially if we are talking about the mistakes we did, we can forget about it and lift it up to the Lord and ask for His forgiveness. We repent by feeling sorry and letting those things not to happen again in our lives.

Talking with God in the morning is a sign that we put our trust to Him, we ask Him to guide us in our walks and give us a humble heart to follow all His instructions. We also ask Him to give us strength and be our salvation in time of distress. “O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” (Isaiah 33:2)

Why is every morning a new beginning? Everyday is a new opportunity to change for the better. And God has given us so much opportunity to do good things, and even if we commit mistakes, He  gives us a chance to repent for our mistakes and transgressions. If we can change for the better each day, then to be best for the Lord won’t be far away. This is what God aims for all of us, to be the best, to be perfect, for He who called us is perfect.

But being perfect can not be done in one day, two days or in just a week. It needs constant practice. The Bible says, “the righteous live in faith.” (Hebrews 10:38) Apostle Peter says, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;” (1 Peter 1:15)

This means we have to live according to faith in all the days of our lives, in all times of the day and in all circumstances. We can live faithfully while dealing with friends, teachers, classmates, office mates, love ones and most especially, with our brethren. We can show love to every one by giving and sharing good deeds to them. And this we do, not only when we are happy or blessed. We do these things even if we are sad and we feel like we are carrying a heavy burden.

[ Warning Against Refusing God ] Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14) So make everyday, a new beginning, a new start to do what the Lord God wants us to do. As God continue to extend our lives here on earth, we utilize it as if it is always new everyday, always ready to bring praises and glory to the almighty  God.
