Earthquakes happen in different countries worldwide.
We can find videos of its devastations in Youtube and other networking sites. Death and tragedies brought about these natural calamities caused a lot of weeping to many people.
“It’s happening,” many people say. Happening what? They really don’t know what’s happening. Some say, “the end is near!” Really?
Many are afraid and keep on praying to the almighty God to save everyone from these disasters.
What does the Bible really say about these happenings and events?
Let’s start with what the Apostles of Jesus asked many years back.
Mat 24:3 – As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him in private. “Tell us when all this will be,” they asked, “and what will happen to show that it is the time for your coming and the end of the age.”
Did Jesus answered them clearly?
Mat 24:4 – Jesus answered, “Watch out, and do not let anyone fool you.
Mat 24:5 – Many men, claiming to speak for me, will come and say, ‘I am the Messiah!’ and they will fool many people.
Mat 24:6 – You are going to hear the noise of battles close by and the news of battles far away; but do not be troubled. Such things must happen, but they do not mean that the end has come.
Indeed these things are happening right now. Not only now, but also in the past. These are repeated events that keep on happening. And these things must happen according to Jesus Christ. Everything that we see now are bound to happen. These are planned events. But according to Him, these events do not mean that the end has come.
We have to know what really is the will of God regarding these occurences. By these occurences, we know that His words are true. The Bible indeed is the infallible words of God. That all the things written on it are happening now.
Mat 24:7 – Countries will fight each other; kingdoms will attack one another. There will be famines and earthquakes everywhere.
Mat 24:8 – All these things are like the first pains of childbirth.
Many nations have fought to each other. Wars, famines, death and natural disasters are all Bible predictions that are bound to happen in our time. But Jesus said that these are only FIRST PAINS OF CHILDBIRTH.
Servants of God do not fear of these happenings. They know that when these events happen, the promise of God is really near. They are glad not because many people are weeping and dying, tey are glad because the words of God are all true, and that the glorious return of the One who will come is very near. The coming will be a glorious one, because it’s all about giving what is due to every one; rewards for all who kept their faith and punishment for all who turn against God.
People of God do not fear about these events. They are more strengthened knowing that God is always with them. Psa 23:4 – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
