God will Reject those Who will Reject His Words

Adam and Eve were the first people who rejected the words and commandment of God. From there,we learned that they were abandoned by God so that they learn from the consequences of their rebellion.

The Bible says, 1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. Rejecting the words of God means rejecting Him as the king. If man rejects the word of God, he will also be rejected by God. He will be abandoned by God in order to suffer the consequences of his rebellion.

In our present time, many people say that they know God. Actually they serve God and honor Him,but only through their lips. They profess to know God but they don’t follow His words. Like many children to their parents, they call them mom and dad, but they don’t respect them  through following their advices.

What does the Bible say about this kind of people?

1Jn 2:3 If we obey God’s commands, then we are sure that we know him.
1Jn 2:4 If we say that we know him, but do not obey his commands, we are liars and there is no truth in us.

The Bible condemns people and calls them liar if they say they know God but do not keep His commandments. They are liars because the truth is not in them. Therefore, it is not enough that we know God, we must know Him and fulfill His will by obeying His commands.

If man will continue to just know God but don’t obey His will, what will happen to them?

Pro 1:24 I have been calling you, inviting you to come, but you would not listen. You paid no attention to me.

Pro 1:25 You have ignored all my advice and have not been willing to let me correct you.

Pro 1:26 So when you get into trouble, I will laugh at you. I will make fun of you when terror strikes—

Pro 1:27 when it comes on you like a storm, bringing fierce winds of trouble, and you are in pain and misery.

Pro 1:28 Then you will call for wisdom, but I will not answer. You may look for me everywhere, but you will not find me.

Pro 1:29 You have never had any use for knowledge and have always refused to obey the LORD.

Pro 1:30 You have never wanted my advice or paid any attention when I corrected you.

Pro 1:31 So then, you will get what you deserve, and your own actions will make you sick.

God refuses to be a God for them who refuses Him and His will. Notice that the Bible is clear in telling that people will find Him on that day but they will never find God. They will ask God, but they will not find an answer from Him. In other words, God will reject them.

Is God cruel for this kind of People? The answer is no. Until this time, God continues to give chance for all people. God continues to call the attention of everyone, so that they will listen to Him and obey His commands. But the problem is on us- people. We neglect God and chose the wisdom of this world rather than choosing God’s wisdom in His words.

While there is still time, we need to come to the Lord and make a relationship with Him. Otherwise, we will be rejected soon. It must be our priority to find our way to God and fulfill the purpose He has on us.

2Co 6:1 In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God’s grace not to let it be wasted.

2Co 6:2 Hear what God says: “When the time came for me to show you favor, I heard you; when the day arrived for me to save you, I helped you.” Listen! This is the hour to receive God’s favor; today is the day to be saved!
