There is a saying that goes, “when everything goes wrong, refer to the manual.”
There are many people who usually don’t read instructions manual after they bought a product from a store. The problem with not referring to the manual and use the product right away is that sometimes, people tend to misuse the product and after the merchandise was damaged, they return it to the store and make complains about the product.
The problem is not the product itself, it is the user who has misused it. Statistics shows that many products have been misused due to lack of knowledge on how to use them.
Life is like a Product
God created us according to His image. We were created perfect, destined to do marvelous things. But many people did not know the purpose of their existence and tend to misuse it like a product bought from a store. They follow what they think is right to live their lives. The problem is, many used it not according to the purpose.
If we misuse a thing to use it for another purpose and not to its real purpose, it does not serve its purpose. This is the same with the life given to us. If this life was misused, it doesn’t serve its purpose.
And if the purpose of life was not achieved, what happens? Will the One who gave it be happy?
The answer is a big NO. God will never be happy if His creations do not perform according to their purposes. Actually, it is a big insult in His part if the purpose of His creations will not be achieved. God would be much happy if He saw that His creations met His expectations. God would be happy if we use our lives according to His purposes and not for our own purposes. God would be happy if we live our lives according to what God wants us to be.
What do we need to live according to God’s purpose?
People can speculate or guess how to live their lives. For thousands of years, many philosophers have speculated about the real meaning of life, the true purpose of our existence. The problem with speculations is that they will never know if they are living their lives according to God’s purpose, because they are just guessing about it.
Therefore, we need something better than a mere speculation and the easiest way to determine the purpose of our life is to ask the inventor – God. God doesn’t want us to guess and have doubts in our very being. He has clearly determined the purpose of our existence via a manual, and that manual is the Bible.
We need an Instruction Manual
Some defined BIBLE as – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. The Bible is considered to be the instruction manual of every living person. To discover the purpose of life, we need to turn to the source of our lives – God. We need to ask God and through His words or the Bible we shall know the very purpose of what we are living for.
2Ti 3:15 and you remember that ever since you were a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, 2Ti 3:17 so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.
These are the reasons why we are being commanded to search the scriptures. Through the words of God, we will be instructed for right living, living according to the will of the creator and not according to our own will.
Isa 34:16 Search in the LORD’s book of living creatures and read what it says. Not one of these creatures will be missing, and not one will be without its mate. The LORD has commanded it to be so; he himself will bring them together.
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The manual of God makes us holy and gives us chance to live our lives right, and for sure, it will lead us to attain eternal life.
